From learning her legacy to literally launching our own creations, today was a pretty high-flying kind of day!

In a world full of “same,” we celebrate the beautifully different. 💛

This week, we’re reading Odd Bird, a story that reminds us that being unique isn’t something to fix… it’s something to honor.

When asked what makes them special, many of our friends shared what they love to do as they attempted to grasp the concept. And that’s a beautiful place to begin. ✨

Because behind every “I like to…” is the heart of who they are.💛

A frozen teddy bear …. And a room full of little problem solvers ! 🧸💡

Students experimented, made predictions, tried different techniques, and even showed empathy for their tiny frozen friend. Moments like this build problem-solving, critical thinking, persistence, and language development, all through play . This is what it looks like when children are given the space to explore, think, and discover on their own.

We honor and study Black history all year long. This month was especially meaningful as we used it as an opportunity to revisit and reflect on all that we’ve learned ; connecting history, identity, and learning across every subject area.

When students are given the space to define themselves, something shifts. These I AM statements are more than words, they are identity, confidence, and belief, IN ACTION. Every affirmation spoken is a seed planted, shaping how they see themselves and what they believe is possible. And when they ask “Who are you becoming?” It’s not just a question, it’s an invitation for all of us. Because who we become starts with what we believe. ✨
