Walker Governor's School is a public high school for academically-gifted students. We are a regional school, serving 12 school districts and families of all income levels in the Greater Richmond area.

Walker's Future Problem Solvers Club wins 3rd place at the State Bowl on March 22-23 - Maggie L. Walker Governor's School 03/28/2024

Congratulations to the Future Problem Solvers Club! Club members competed in the Global Issues Problem Solving State Bowl on March 22-23. Chloe Larimer (’24-Chesterfield), Soumya Khadye (’25-Henrico), Arnav Kadambi ('25-Henrico), and Gabrielle Banks (’25-Chesterfield) won 3rd place in the Overall and Action Plan categories in the State for their presentation on autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence. The Maggie Walker Quiz Bowl team hosted GSAC XXVI on Saturday, March 16th. This tournament had its 26th iteration, but it had stopped in 2018. Thanks to the efforts of dozens of Maggie Walker students, the tournament was revived. Timothy Porter ('24-Henrico), Katie Watson ('25-Chesterfield), and Brenden Stremler ('25-Chesterifeld) led the students in writing and editing questions, organizing the brackets, and hosting ten rounds of gameplay for seventeen teams from around the state....
