Students unearth history beneath future sports complex Eastern Kentucky University hosted its first public "Archaeology Day." Students are combing through the land which will eventually be a sports park.

EKU unveils archaeological discoveries from the region Students and staff have spent the last few weeks doing fieldwork at the site of the new Richmond Sports Complex.

EKU’s Anthropology Program will host our first Public Archaeology Day with the City of Richmond!

Join us Friday June 13 at the new Richmond Sports Complex to
learn what our students have discovered about our region’s history! We will offer two sessions: 10:00-11:00 am or 2:00-3:00 pm.

Tours will take approximately 1 hour.
