Moments like these are what community, connection, and education are all about showing students that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door and that the people who once led them still believe in them.

Schools that honor instructional planning time communicate a clear belief:
teaching and learning matter.
What structures help you protect that time on your campus?
We’re always interested in learning how principals make this a reality.

not a lack of effort.

Could AI change how tough PLC conversations happen?
On a recent trip to Hawaiʻi, I had a conversation with a fellow educator about AI, not as a solution, but as a neutral thought partner in professional learning.
The idea wasn’t about replacing people.
It was about creating space to challenge thinking without challenging individuals.
In ProActive Schools, I talk about how strong systems, not personalities, create the conditions for honest dialogue in PLCs.
AI may or may not fit your context.
But it raises a key question:
Does your PLC structure help teams examine practice while staying centered on student learning?
Curious...what’s helping (or hurting) dialogue on your team right now?
