We had an amazing weekend at Portsmouth Districts. Our robot was once again undefeated in our qualification matches. We are lucky to have worked with some of the best teams in Chesapeake this weekend.
We were the alliance 1 captain and were able along with FRC Team 3359 Royal Robotics and RoboHawks Team 346 to continue our undefeated streak to win our first non-offseason event since 2018.

We are also very proud of our driver and build lead Matthew Tran on being a Dean's list finalist.

Finally, I am proud to say that we also received the prestigious Excellence in Engineering award for the design of our amazing robot Tatsu, so that along with the Engineering Inspiration award we received last weak, all aspects of our team have now received awards at competitions this year.

We had a great time speaking with Congressman Bobby Scott from Virginia’s 3rd Congressional District. We shared our experience in FIRST gained another friend in advocacy!

Our team found it hard to be disappointed after alliance 1 beat us in the finals because that meant our sister team the Vikingbots won!! We are so proud of everything they accomplished this year and enjoyed every minute spent helping at their meetings or together at our outreach events. We are proud to call the Vikingbots our family and cant’t wait to see them again soon. Congratulations guys, you absolutely deserve it.

We had the best weekend we could have asked for at Ashland Districts. Our robot was undefeated in our qualification matches, despite a rocky start yesterday. We are lucky to have worked with some of the best teams in Chesapeake this weekend.
We led alliance 2 all the way to the finals and had a great time coming up with creative strategies to work around robot issues in the playoffs.

I am proud to say that we also received the prestigious Engineering Inspiration award. Congratulations to the team on all our outreach and mentoring in Richmond City this year.

Had another special guest visit our team today at the Ashland Event. Ms. Amanda Pittman, the Press Secretary of the Virginia Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates. We were super excited to show her and her family our passion at comp.
