The Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic is stopping at Bellwood Elementary School CCPS Chesterfield County Public Schools this week and over the course of the Clinic, we anticipate providing free eye exams to more than 70 students!

We are grateful for the support and friendship of Communities In Schools of Chesterfield and CCPS School Health that help make days like this possible!

Today was our first glasses dispensing day of the new school year!

The Conexus team returned to Fairfield Court Elementary and Woodville Elementary Richmond Public Schools to deliver brand new glasses to a total of 78 students; 40 at Fairfield and 38 at Woodville.

These young learners will no longer have poor vision as a barrier to their success in, and out of, the classroom.

Today was a bittersweet day at Conexus.

This morning, we gathered to celebrate and say "see you soon" to our very own Kia Miles.

Kia has been at Conexus since July 2019; starting out as a VisioCheck Program Tech, eventually becoming our VisioCheck Coordinator, and lastly our Director of Programs. She is leaving us to pursue her goal and passion to become a Doula.

Once you are part of the Conexus family, you are ALWAYS part of the Conexus family.

We will miss seeing you everyday Kia, but we know you will continue to do amazing things and be an incredible advocate for the moms and babies you work with.

The school year may have just begun, but Conexus is already delivering life changing vision programs to schools across the Commonwealth!

August Program Update -

VisioCheck Screenings:
4,307 students
1,521 referred; 35.3% rate (the national average is 25%)
School Divisions: Buckingham, Caroline, Cumberland, Grayson, Henry, Hopewell, Pittsylvania, Richmond, Rockbridge, Staunton, and Warren.

Mobile Vision Clinic:
526 eye exams
494 glasses prescribed
School Divisions: Cumberland, Hopewell, and Richmond

Conexus hit an agency milestone with its 40,000th Mobile Vision Clinic eye exam on day one of this year's program at Fairfield Court Elementary!

Today, the Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic is delivering eye exams to students at Cumberland Elementary Cumberland County Public Schools, VA. The team anticipates seeing more than 40 students today.

Conexus has partnered with Cumberland since the 2019-2020 school year, and since that time, we have delivered 267 eye exams, and prescribed 175 pairs of glasses to Cumberland's students!

The Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic is VERY busy this week with stops today in Richmond Public Schools at both Oak Grove - Bellemeade Elementary School and Cardinal Elementary School. Over the course of these Clinics, Conexus will provide an anticipated 250 exams; more than 150 at Cardinal and another 100 at Oak Grove - Bellemeade.

Last year, Conexus delivered 207 pairs of glasses to students at these schools; 129 at Cardinal and 78 at Oak Grove - Bellemeade.

The Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic rolled to Hopewell City Public Schools today with stops at Dupont Elementary School and Patrick Copeland Elementary School.

The team will deliver eye exams to more than 65 students at Dupont and another 70+ young learners at Patrick Copeland!

The Mobile Vision Clinic will be at Harry E. James Elementary next week, and will be at Carter G. Woodson Middle and Hopewell High School in late-August and early September.

Last year, Conexus provided 426 eye exams to students in Hopewell, and delivered 372 pairs of glasses!
