We are recruiting for our Board of Directors and we hope that you'll consider joining us! The Neighborhood Resource Center provides essential services that enhance the lives of our neighbors. It's critical to us that the work that we do is informed by the participants in our programs. As part of this, our bylaws include a requirement that 51% of our Board of Directors must be residents of Greater Fulton. One of our Board members, Jordan, wanted us to share this message with you about his Board service:

"As a neighbor, I see first hand the positive impact NRC has on the neighborhood. This organization is a megaphone for the voiceless and a resource for those that could use some extra help. My commitment to NRC Fulton is so that I can also be a positive contributor to my neighborhood and help make sure that this organization can continue to thrive for years to come." -Jordan, Fund Development Chair

Will you consider joining our Board of Directors? Find out more through the link in our bio.

We would like to introduce another member of our executive board Paige Punzalan, Vice President of Programs
:

My name is Paige Punzalan, and I am a Graduate student at VCU pursuing my Master's in Environmental Studies. I graduated this past Spring 2021 with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Biology with University Honors from VCU Honors College. I have interned through the Wilder School's Capitol Semester Program with the office of Delegate Ken Plum of the Virginia General Assembly as well as the Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, largely working on Legislative Outreach and DEIJ Research for their Conservation Assistance Program. I have become involved with PASA through a connection from one of my classes this semester with Dr. Lindsey Evans in PADM 691, Social Equity & Public Policy. I have a passion for learning more about the intersection of environmental policy, public policy, and the importance and role of social equity in these fields. PASA provides me with an environment in which I can enrich this passion outside of the classroom and my studies. I am also in the process of applying to Law School in order to pursue concentrations in Environmental and Public Interest Law to do my part and what I can to make equitable changes in our society.

Today's executive board introduction is Katie Hines, our Vice President of Programs...
:
"Hello everyone! My name is Katie Hines (she/her/hers), and I am the Vice President of Programs for PASA. I am a Master of Public Administration student in my second semester of the program. I am currently the Bilingual Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at VCU, primarily working with prospective Latinx students. I also have my Certificate of Global Education, Peace Corps Prep Certificate, and TEFL Certificate. After graduating from VCU, I served as a Community Economic Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay for two years.
Fun facts about me: I love to dance salsa and bachata, and I have traveled to more places outside of the US than in.
