Moon will embrace Venus this evening in the Sunset West... Eyes to the Sky!!!

Moon met Sun on Saturnsday in the late degrees of Ta**us where beauty is a spiritual practice and music is an embodied unwrapping of the present moment. Though we use the term New Moon to describe the monthly meetings of Moon and Sun, truly our experience is "No Moon" since Moon cannot be seen when under the Sun's beams.

The Young Crescent or Maiden Moon is found in the Sunset West typically one or two days after New Moon. Clouds allowing, you will have a wonderful view tonight, regardless of where you are. Simply head outside after Sunset to catch a glimpse of Diana's Bow. Can you see how her Crescent aims arrows at her brother Apollo who has just set below?

If you chose to go, you will receive a special treat tonight... the Maiden Moon will be found at Venus' side!!! They embrace at the first degree of Tropical Cancer, the Zodiac degree towards which the axis of Earth eternally leans. For this reason, this special solstice point of the Zodiac is known as a World Point. May all beings on earth experience the love and nurturing offered by the most beautiful meeting of the heavenly Guidesses.

According to the Venus Synodic Cycle approach of the Shamanic Astrology Paradigm created by my first teacher Daniel Giamario this particular Moon-Venus Conjunction marks the moment of Inanna's ascent through the Heart Chakra gate and initiates a month where Venus will implore us to reclaim the powers of giving and receiving love.

I believe it is important to note that Moon and Venus will both be "out of bounds" for their meeting. Technically, this means their conjunction happens north of the Tropic of Cancer where the Sun can never go, not even in his wildest dreams. Energetically, we are encouraged to step outside of familial or cultural limitations to offer tenderness.

Isn't this the perfect day to shower the world with the music of your love???

There is so much more to say about this conjunction. The Guidesses meet on the Milky Way in the center of the Sacred Hoop of Stars, this is the space where our souls come and leave through according to Lakota Star Knowledge. At the time of their conjunction, Moon and Venus will be square Neptune and sextile Mars (with Mercury and Uranus between). There is harmony in the heavens! I could say a million words, but the most important are these... head outside and celebrate the Marriage of Heaven and Earth with open ears after Sunset tonight!

Even for our southern hemisphere friends who experience autumnal equinox today, Sun is East of Earth.

The East is a place for beginnings, as taught by the rays of the rising Sun. What beginning are you calling in?

With a Sun joining a cosmic crew in an already rather occupied Aries, it's a good idea to call in balance so here's a challenge:
