It is hard to put into words just how much Ms. Jones means to the Chimborazo community.

Throughout her years at Chimborazo, she has been a source of love, encouragement, wisdom, and support for students, families, and staff alike. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to children have left a lasting impact on countless lives.

As Ms. Jones begins her retirement, we are filled with both gratitude and sadness. We are grateful for everything she has given to our school community, but we know she will be deeply missed. Her smile, her compassion, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued are gifts that cannot be replaced.

Thank you, Ms. Jones, for the difference you have made in the lives of so many. Your legacy will live on through the students you inspired, the families you supported, and the colleagues who were fortunate enough to work alongside you.

We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, adventure, and all the joy you have brought to others throughout your career.

We are so proud of our Run Club for participating in the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K Mini! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our students showed determination, perseverance, and so much heart out on the course, what an incredible accomplishment! A HUGE shoutout to Ms. Harrington for doing such an amazing job leading this group and inspiring our runners every step of the way. 👏💙

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing school counselor, Ms. King, for her hard work, dedication, and thoughtful planning in making yesterday’s Career Day such a success! Your efforts created a meaningful and engaging experience for our students, helping them explore future possibilities and dream big.

We also want to give a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who took the time to come out, share your careers, and inspire our students. Your willingness to pour into our school community truly made a difference!

Thanks to our incredible community, our food pantry has been able to support so many of our students and families this year—we are so grateful! 🙌

As we head into summer (and with Chimborazo hosting summer school), our pantry is running very low and we are currently in need of all items. Any support you can provide—or help spreading the word—means so much to our families.

Career Day is this Monday, April 20th, and we are looking for a few last‑minute volunteers to join us and share their careers with our students! If you have a job, trade, or passion you’d love to talk about, we would be thrilled to have you participate.

We will have two sessions—one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the afternoon session will run from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m.
