Collegiate School Summer Quest has provided high quality summer camp experiences to our greater Richmond community for the past 46 years.

Summer Quest is all about providing opportunities for kids of all ages to have fun, learn and be challenged over the summer months. Our beautiful campuses provide the perfect setting for a wide variety of programs ranging from academics, arts, and enrichment to sports and much more! With over 30 years experience, Summer Quest knows what it takes to create summer memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Explorer Cubs were excited to get a bee hive lesson this week with Robyn, Collegiate’s grounds keeper. The students enjoyed learning about bees and their nests. They were even able to inspect the insides of the hives and talk about the different components.

Calling all young artists! Our NEW “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” camp is exploring the world of Laura Numeroff through reading and art. The children create wonderful drawings daily and bring their favorite stories to life by combining creativity and imagination! This camp is offered to rising kindergarteners and rising 1st graders.

CORE Kids Academy is here this week! Their certified instructors are working with our campers to develop fitness and gymnastics skills through tumbling, hopping, stretching, and conditioning.

Our campers are “heated” up for the first day of tennis camp! This camp is offered to rising 1st-rising 4th graders. The five fun-filled days consist of instruction, drills, strategy and fitness sessions and games.

“Hooked on Books” campers are having fun while putting on their Reader’s Theater presentation. The famous four fables are being performed, The Three Little Pigs, The Tortoise and the Hare, Where is Cub?, and Three Billy Goats Gruff. These young readers enjoy a variety of activities throughout the week to strengthen and enrich their reading and writing skills.

Check out the Richmond Times Dispatch today! Our “Discover Richmond” campers were featured during one of their many excursions around the Richmond area. The students hop aboard the “magic bus” for the week and discover exciting things to do right here in our own city.

In “Fun with Photoshop”, students are using Adobe Photoshop to alter and enhance their own photographs and will collaborate to create a short magazine that represents their interests and passions. And they will even create their own unique logo/emblem for a T-shirt during the week long camp!

Our campers are enjoying the sports camps being offered this week! Youth soccer (coed) and Boys’ basketball- Advanced Skill Development are both receiving technical instructions that will allow them to take their skills and game to the next level

Is your child intrigued at how things work? Do they like to build and create new inventions? If so, have them join in our scientific fun! These campers are spending the week investigating, dissecting, building, observing, creating, and finding out “why and how” things happen. The “Scientist in Action” camp is offered to Rising 1st- Rising 4th graders.

“Sew Fun” campers are working on a mini-capsule wardrobe of three pieces of clothing that will work seamlessly together and provide them with the foundation of their own handmade wardrobe. These campers are learning basic skills, as well as many advanced skills for sewing their own clothes.
