The doors are safely opened at The Dance Studio! The first week was fun and successful and we are looking forward to another one this week. Safety guidelines are in place to keep everyone healthy and well. Some of the older classes are being held at night in a temporary satellite location that allows for appropriate social distancing. Dance studio hosts 'Cookies for Kids' parade to help food bank A Henrico dance studio that had to postpone their spring recital held a drive-thru parade Saturday to benefit a great cause.

A special senior tribute to Sydney Nicole Skillin.

Sydney started dancing with me at age 3 in the Saturday morning “baby” ballet class. Her beautiful strawberry blonde hair was quite a standout as well as was her gentle nature that stayed with her through the years! She will be missed by all of us at The Dance Studio. Sydney – you are wished all the best as you head off to Longwood University in the fall.

Normally on the Wednesday after Mother's Day, everyone is excitedly arriving at the Scottish Rite Temple for the TDS Stage Rehearsal. It is an exciting day for students old and new! Magic fills the air as the dances that we have all worked so hard on move across the stage for the first time. We might not be there tonight, but we are still connected in our hearts. And we will see each other soon at the TDS "Cookies for Kids" drive through the studio parking lot this Saturday, May 16th!!!!

Waving hello to all of my friends that I missed more than you can know today! The Mother's Day picnic and parking lot rehearsal is always such a fun and special day that holds such a dear place in our hearts. Thank you to Mrs. Truslow and all of the parents that make it such a magical event for everyone each year. The parking lot may be empty this year, but we will fill it next year with the biggest and best Mother's Day picnic yet! Love to you all - Ms. Tassa xoxo

Sunday rehearsals start this Sunday, March 8th! Bring a smile and a positive attitude and be ready to work hard and have fun!

Although some school systems are closed tomorrow, TDS is open on Tuesday March 3rd.

The 6:00 class will be held as scheduled. There will be another announcement around 6:00 regarding the rest of the night.

The Dance Studio will open at 5:00 today for those who feel they can safely travel. Ms. Tassa plans to hold the 5:00 and 6:00 classes as of right now. An updated message will go out at 5:15 regarding the 6:00, 7:15, and 8:15 classes.

Ms. Tassa is keeping an eye on the weather today and everyone’s safety is her top priority. She will make a decision about today’s classes by 4:00pm.

Reminder: The studio is closed this week for costuming. There are no classes today, Thursday January 16th.
