💛 A Morning Filled with Grand Love! 💛

What a beautiful morning celebrating the incredible grandparents who fill our children’s lives with love, wisdom, laughter, and memories that last a lifetime. 👵🏽👴🏻💕

There is something truly special about the bond between a grandparent and a grandchild, and today we had the joy of watching that love shine throughout our center.

Thank you to all the wonderful grandparents who joined us for our Grandparents Day Breakfast. Seeing the smiles, hugs, and little hands holding yours made our hearts so full. ❤️

And to the grandparents and special loved ones who couldn’t be with us this morning — you were missed, thought of, and very much a part of today’s celebration in our hearts. 💕

Here’s to the generations that came before us, the little ones growing beside us, and the love that connects them all. 🌿

Happy Grandparents Day from our Ivy Kids family! 💛

🍂 A Sweet Thank You to Our Ivy Kids Families! 🤎

Today, we added a little sweetness to our Family Survey! 🍫🍂

Our parents were greeted with a special brownie treat as a small way of saying THANK YOU for being such an important part of our Ivy Kids of Lakemont family.

Our Family Survey is currently open, and every response matters to us. Your feedback helps us recognize what you love, learn where we can do even better, and continue creating an exceptional experience for our children and families.

The treats may have been just for today, but there’s still time to share your voice! ❤️

If you haven’t completed the survey yet, simply scan our survey QR code at the center and let us know how we’re doing.

Thank you for helping us grow — together. 🌱

Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is about learning through movement and hands-on experiences. When children move, touch, build, and explore, they are using their bodies to interact with the world around them and make sense of new ideas.

Movement is more than an opportunity to be active. Movement-based learning can support attention, memory, and academic development, helping children stay focused and make meaningful connections as they learn.

For young children, this can look like stacking and building, dancing to music, exploring sensory materials, practicing fine motor skills, or using their whole bodies to participate in an activity. Each experience gives children another way to learn by doing.

At Ivy Kids, bodily-kinesthetic learning is incorporated throughout the day through hands-on classroom activities, music and movement, sensory exploration, and outdoor play. These experiences give children opportunities to move with purpose while building skills that support learning and development.

In our Twos class, our little artists explored their senses with a fun Scented Painting activity! 🌈 They mixed JELL-O with water to create colorful, scented paint and then let their creativity take over with some free painting.

As they painted, the children used their sense of smell to identify the different fruity scents.

And the fun didn’t stop there! 💙 During pick-up, one Dad was able to join in on the activity, making this learning experience even more special! We love when our Ivy Kids families get to be part of the fun. 🥰👨‍👧🎨

This hands-on sensory activity encourages creativity, fine motor development, color recognition, sensory exploration, and family engagement!

🔢✨ **Learning Through Play at Ivy Kids of Lakemont!** ✨🔢

Our preschoolers had so much fun practicing their **number recognition skills**! During this hands-on activity, the teacher called out a number, and each child searched to find the matching number. 🎯

Activities like this help our little learners build **early math skills, listening skills, confidence, and number recognition**—all while moving, exploring, and having FUN! 💙💛

At **Ivy Kids of Lakemont**, we believe learning is most meaningful when children are actively engaged and excited to participate!

Giving your child small, age-appropriate responsibilities can create meaningful opportunities to build confidence, independence and responsibility.

At Ivy Kids Early Learning Center, social-emotional development is intentionally supported through everyday classroom experiences. Children receive age-appropriate classroom jobs—such as leading a song, helping clean up or turning off the lights—so they can practice contributing to their classroom community.

These meaningful responsibilities help children see that their efforts matter and give them opportunities to build independence, confidence and pride in their work.

🏠 Try this at home: Give your child one simple, age-appropriate responsibility, such as putting away toys, feeding a pet or placing napkins on the table. Acknowledge the specific effort: “You remembered your job and helped our family. Thank you!”

Small responsibilities create meaningful opportunities for children to feel capable, helpful and valued.

At Ivy Kids Early Learning Center, we have a dedicated Enrichment Coordinator focused specifically on bringing STEAM, Spanish and more to life for our students.

As part of our research-based MultiPrep® curriculum, children regularly explore science, technology, engineering, art and math—or STEAM—through thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate experiences. The Enrichment Coordinator prepares and leads these activities, giving children meaningful opportunities to ask questions, experiment, solve problems and discover new interests.

It is a dedicated role with an important purpose: making enrichment a consistent, engaging part of every child’s Ivy Kids experience.
