Research shows that reading to infants and toddlers has a massive impact on their future success. When we look at a book together, we aren't just telling a story—we are actively building the neural pathways responsible for speech, comprehension, and emotional intelligence.
Pro-tip for this age: Don't worry about reading every single word on the page! Pointing at the pictures, making funny animal sounds, and letting them turn the pages is exactly how early literacy starts.

Summer is in full swing at the ELC! 💦☀️
Water play is one of our favorite ways to cool off. But if you look closely, you'll see a lot more than just fun happening here—it's sensory exploration, fine motor building, and early social connection all in one.
Foundational readiness 🤝 Whole-child development.
For our littlest learners age 3 and under, joyful, messy play is the absolute best way to learn. We are dedicated to setting them up for a lifetime of future success, but we are equally committed to nurturing the whole child exactly where they are today.
We are ready to soak up every minute of summer fun! 😎

Even our littlest ones are doing big work! 🥰 Practicing empathy, care, and connection through play—because SEL skills start from day one.

There is so much learning that can happen through music for our earliest of learners 🎶✨ From exploring sounds and rhythm to moving their bodies and interacting with friends, our little learners are learning through every shake, tap, and dance move 💛
We only have TWO spots remaining before we begin holding spots for August enrollment. Openings like these are hard to come by, and enrolled families always receive future enrollment preference here, The Nature Schools, and LaFontaine Preparatory School.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our incredible teachers 💚✨
Every day, they fill our classrooms with love, laughter, patience, and so much fun. From comforting little ones to getting messy during activities and celebrating every milestone, they make our school such a special place to learn and grow 💛
We are so thankful for the care, energy, and heart they pour into our kids each and every day. Our school wouldn’t be the same without them 🫶

There’s more going on in an Easter egg hunt than meets the eye 🐣💡
While the kids were busy finding eggs, they were also working on some big skills! They’re thinking about where to look, staying focused, and using those little hands to grab and carry their treasures.
Moments like this also build confidence, independence, and so much joy being part of a group 💛
Just a whole lot of fun with a whole lot of learning mixed in!

Did you know that "out of sight" means "out of mind" for our little ones? 🧠💡
Our Seekers are working hard on Object Permanence—the cognitive stage where children realize that objects (and people!) continue to exist even when they can't be seen or heard.
By practicing with toys and blankets, they’re not just playing; they’re:
• Developing problem-solving skills 🛠️
• Strengthening long-term memory 🧠
• Building emotional security (knowing that when things go away, they come back!)
