A look back at the 3rd grade’s week-long trip to Hawthorne Valley Farm! Of the experience, their teacher Mrs. Bullington shared:
“In late April the 3rd grade travelled by Amtrak to a working farm and education center in the Hudson Valley of New York. Together they spent the week immersed in daily farm life: feeding and milking cows; watching sheep shearing; making bread, butter and cheese; cooking and serving family style meals; and riding ponies - among many other fun activities that blended art, science, and history. Students came away from this amazing experience with a new sense of independence and confidence.”
