Math growth is a journey, and we’re excited about where it’s taking us.
As we review our end-of-year math data from the 2025-2026 school year, we’re reminded that meaningful improvement comes from both celebrating successes and learning from challenges.
This year’s results show areas of strength, areas of growth, and opportunities to do even better. While we met some of our schoolwide math goals and continue striving toward others, the data gives us valuable insight into where we can focus our efforts moving forward.
One thing is clear: our students worked hard, our families supported learning at home, and our staff remained committed to helping every child grow as a mathematician. We are proud of the progress that was made and grateful for the partnership that made it possible.
As our kindergarteners head off to first grade, we know they are taking important math skills, confidence, and problem-solving experiences with them. At the same time, we are already looking ahead. Next year brings exciting opportunities, including new math initiatives and instructional approaches designed to strengthen learning and accelerate growth.
The work of continuous improvement is never finished, and that’s what makes it exciting. We look forward to applying what we’ve learned, embracing new challenges, and helping even more students succeed in mathematics in the years ahead.
Here’s to growth, reflection, and the opportunities that await us next year!

Celebrating a Year of Growth!
As we wrap up the 2025-2026 school year, we’re celebrating the incredible literacy growth of our students and the collective effort that made it possible.
We’re grateful to our dedicated staff, who embraced new programs, adjusted schedules, and continuously refined their practices in pursuit of better outcomes for students. Meaningful growth often requires change, and their commitment to learning and improvement has made a tremendous difference.
We’re equally thankful for our students and families. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to learning helped make these achievements possible.
We’re proud to have met three of our four literacy goals and to have come within just one percentage point of meeting the fourth. These results reflect meaningful progress and provide a strong foundation for the future.
As our kindergarteners prepare for first grade, we celebrate all they have accomplished and thank the families who partnered with us throughout the year. We are proud of how far we’ve come, excited to welcome a new group of learners this fall, and eager to continue building on this success together.
Thank you for being part of the journey!

Today we celebrated a very special member of the MKA family as we honored Mrs. Nancy Baxter on her retirement after 27 years in education. 💙💛
To say Mrs. Baxter has made a difference would be an understatement. Over the years, she has impacted the lives of countless students, families, and staff members through her kindness, wisdom, servant heart, and unwavering support. She has been an integral part of the success of our school community, always willing to jump in with a helpful idea, lend a hand, encourage others, and most importantly, pray for and with those around her.
Her presence in our halls has been a constant source of comfort, joy, and strength. While we have a feeling we’ll still see her around from time to time, it simply won’t be the same without her here every day.
We are so grateful for the love and dedication Mrs. Baxter has poured into MKA through the years. The legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on in the students she encouraged, the teachers she supported, and the community she helped build.
Congratulations on your retirement, Mrs. Baxter! We pray this next chapter is filled with joy, rest, adventure, and all the lemonade-sipping days ahead that you deserve. 🍋
Once a part of MKA, always a part of MKA.

We are so proud of these amazing MKA students!
These students scored among the top 25% of students in the entire school on the end-of-year iReady Reading or Math assessments, and some even did so in both subjects!
Their hard work, growth, and determination all year long truly paid off. Kindergarten is filled with huge learning milestones, and these students absolutely shined. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish in first grade and beyond!
Congratulations to our young high achievers!

Last week, we celebrated one of the sweetest milestones of the school year, Kindergarten Graduation!
Across all of our kindergarten teams, our students celebrated a year filled with tremendous growth, learning, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. From the very first days of learning classroom routines and letter sounds to ending the year reading, writing, counting, creating, and growing in confidence, these students have come so far.
These photos highlight the Seahorse team’s special graduation celebration, but we are incredibly proud of ALL of our MKA kindergarten graduates. Each child worked hard, learned so much, and made this year truly special.
We hope our graduates and their families are enjoying a well-deserved summer full of fun, rest, and memory-making. Even though summer has just begun… first grade will be here before we know it!
Congratulations to our Kindergarten Class of 2025-2026! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of you.
