Car Rider Line Update 🚗⏰

Good news, MKA families! As our students and staff have gotten more comfortable with our new routines and schedules, our morning and afternoon car rider lines are moving more quickly!

As we continue getting closer to our regular arrival and dismissal times, please plan to be in line a little earlier than you may have been recently. We want to make sure everyone is prepared as the line begins moving more efficiently.

Breakfast Independence Begins Tomorrow!

Starting tomorrow, we will begin our regular breakfast routine at MKA! This is another exciting step toward independence for our kindergarteners.

Students arriving by bus or car rider will go directly to the cafeteria when they arrive at school. They will:

🚌🚗 Arrive and head straight to the cafeteria
🥣 Eat breakfast with their friends
🗑️ Clean up and throw away their trash
🎒 Head to class ready to learn!

We know this is a new routine for our kindergarteners, and we want families to feel confident knowing they will be well supported. MKA staff will be positioned along the paths to the cafeteria each morning to supervise students, help direct the flow, and make sure everyone knows where to go. Our staff will be there to guide and encourage students as they practice this new level of independence.

A BIG reminder for families: Please make sure your child has everything they need for the day already in their backpack when they arrive at school—including their lunchbox, water bottle, and any other belongings.

Having everything packed in their backpack allows students to keep their hands free to safely carry their breakfast tray and get settled with their friends.

We are so proud of the independence our kindergarteners are building each day! Thank you for helping us make this transition a smooth and successful one!
