Piedmont Virginia Community College Associate Professor of Geology Callan Bentley will be joining a team of 4 community college faculty to lead a STEM Student Experiences Aboard Ships (STEMSEAS) expedition from Seward, Alaska to Newport, Oregon.
The June voyage will focus on preparing community college faculty to become STEM SEAS mentors. Assistant Professor of Geology Pete Berquist from Virginia Peninsula Community College will be joining the expedition.
