We finally have the high school trip all planned! If you are in High school and interested in taking a trip to Costa Rica summer 2011 (rafting, volunteering, surfing, and much more), give us a shout on FB and we will get in contact with you!!! Our last day in Manuel Antonio was spent "giving back". We visited a biodynamic organic spice farm and the students learned how to grow and process pepper, vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon...straight from farm to table. In the afternoon, we visited Kids Saving the Rainforest and the students learned all about wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. They were also inspired to return home and make a difference in their own communities. To give back, they made bookmarks and jewelry to sale in the KSTR gift shop (100% of the sales benefit conservation). Truly an amazing day.

Sailing, Snorkeling, Sea Kayaking, and of course, SURFING! The students had an amazing two days full of outdoor adventure and they loved every minute of it! The boys thought they were on LOST...LOL. These two days were some of the most memorable experiences of the trip! Enjoy!

On our way home today after an amazing week in the jungle! We learned, laughed, and shared. Our hope is that the lessons will be carried back to RIC and make a positive impact in the lives of these kids and in their community! Pura Vida!

Day 3 was spent traveling from San Jose to MA with a fun crocodile stop along the way. We moved into the new "Jungle" Villa and had a blast in the mega pool. Day 4 "Happy 4th of July" pool party with a bunch of local kids! The language barrier was NOT a problem...teenagers are teenagers no matter the country! We also visited the National Park and saw SLOTHS...not to mention tracking the AGUTI!
