Flight & Space ✈️

During this simulation, students learned about how astronauts prepare food on space missions. Students are using a technique called rehydration to create an edible meal - This technique is used on space missions due to the fact that water is very heavy and it costs $2720.00 to get one liter of water into space. The food the students are rehydrating is vanilla pudding, which they are mixing with dried milk and rehydrating with water. The students also sampled other dried foods during this lesson including dried apples and bananas, as well as some freeze dried candies.
