James Taylor Studios James Taylor Studios is a voice studio located in Bon Air, Virginia. Founded and managed by James Ta We build voices. We are also available to come to you.

As any home of great building, a voice needs a solid foundation to weather the storms of life, and to be able to grow artistically. A good solid technique is that foundation, and we work to build confidence and the ability to overcome any obstacle. Located in Historic Bon Air, Virginia, James Taylor Studios is a voice studio offering private and theatre voice lessons in classical, musical theatre,

jazz, and pop styles. We also provide consultation in repertoire choices that will allow the singer to show their best at auditions, as well as help choose monologues and song rep that are compatible and create a better package for the aspiring actor. At the studio, located in James' home, we provide a waiting room and plenty of free parking.

A very special shout out to my students Ashley Dawson , Quaine Hogan , and Erik DeMario for qualifying for the Lafont competition in New York. Or I guess I should say the MET auditions!

Very proud of all three of them, and look forward to their continued success as they sally forth into the land of music!

Robert Hale
(August 22, 1933 – August 23, 2023)

was an American operatic bass-baritone. He was first a leading baritone at the New York City Opera for a decade, where he performed, alongside Beverly Sills, mostly in Mozart operas and in the revival of belcanto opera such as Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor.
