Our teachers provide a warm and loving environment in which children may grow and learn. The Preschool is a non-profit organization and exceeds all of the licensing requirements for a religious exempt preschool in the state of Virginia. Ruby Cashion Preschool is a ministry of Central Baptist Church.

Our Teacher Aide…

Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
Have countless advancement opportunities through our on-going training and expansive network of centers and brands.
We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
Coursework in early childhood education or child development
The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
Must be at least 18 years of age

The qualified candidate will:

Be committed to helping Ruby Cashion Preschool maintain the standard for high quality preschool education at every level.
Be responsible for lesson planning each week.
Monitor each individual developmental milestones related to body, mind, communication, and self.
Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with families.
Be able to communicate effectively with families, teachers and director.
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children.
Participate in staff meetings and required teacher training's.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – (Prefer one of the following): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, or a related field (with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE – for Lead Teacher; or
Associates degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education or a related field (with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE); or
Current CDA; or
Current and active enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor’s degree program; or
High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 1 year teaching experience at a child care facility.
Required Experience: Experience working with young children; school setting and/or child care facility.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
