Their programs are designed to foster creativity, confidence, and curiosity by immersing children in hands-on experiences in the great outdoors. Super Storytime at has been growing every week! For the month of May we’re adjusting the schedule a bit. Find us in the food forest on Friday from 10-12 with story time from 10:30-11:30.

We're deep into our spring season of programs at Fox Elementary 🦊!

Here's a glimpse at some of our Art Adventures campers working with printing and leaves, and students from the Scraps on Scraps class making collage cards for Earth Day.

Big thanks to our great educators for leading these classes and a huge shout out to for having us! Looking forward to a few more great afternoons before summer break!

RVA KidsFest at was a blast yesterday!

We were so grateful to be there and meet some cool folk. Highlights included:

1. Meeting a young author who's been publishing her own books and won the young entrepreneur award at 9 years old!

2. This little rock lover being a absolutely blown away by the amethyst and fluorite I brought.

3. My brother and nephew came to visit!

Seriously, big thanks to everyone who put this together. It was a great event and we're looking forward to next year.

πŸ‚ Wrapped up an amazing fall season of after school programs at Fox Elementary! From outdoor explorers to yoga, art adventures, myths, and magic, plus ultimate Frisbee – we had a blast! Grateful for our first season at an RPS school.

Winter programs are on the horizon – check the schedule online. Early bird registration starts Dec. 10th, and general registration opens Dec. 13th. Excited for more adventures ahead! ❄️

Last week we had a great time at The Poe Museum for the fall family event. We did leaf prints with the kids and had some great fun! Thanks to everyone who came by, and thanks to the museum for having us over again!

Join us on Saturday, July 22nd from 10:00am to 12:00pm for a morning of FREE family-friendly programming delivered by the Poe Museum and our community partners: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Shalom Farms, and Youth Outdoor Workshops!

Thanks to Riverside Outfitters and Friends of Fonticello Park we'll be hosting a tree climbing event at Fonticello Park!

Come by this Saturday from 2-4 pm. Make sure you fill out a waiver first to be registered!


🌳Participants must be at least 6 years old and have their waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Minors must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. Adults can climb, too!

🌳 Climbers will take turns climbing one at a time and are always belayed by an instructor. Helmets and harnesses must be worn and are provided.

🌳 When not climbing, feel free to enjoy some fun tree-related arts and activities.

🌳 Dress comfortably and for the weather. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle and any snacks and medications you may need. We will have a full water cooler for refills.
