Sunday, Nov. 12: Come out and play! It's a 1-mile run-roll-or-stroll for kids, games, food & fun for the whole family with Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary (formerly Cary) @ Petronius Jones Park, next to the Randolph Community Center. Find more info & register your student at the LINK IN BIO, then share with friends to raise funds for Fox.

We'll have DIY screen printing, warm drinks, jump rope, basketball, tug of war, booths, food for purchase, yoga for all, and, of course, a one mile (two loop) run, walk, roll around the park. We'll begin at 11:00 with two loops for K-2 grades at 11:30 with two loops for 3-5 grades.

Everyone is welcome to move at their own pace, and adults are encouraged to help out, move with the kids, or just enjoy the day!

The two Fox classes with the most individual donors will receive some very special prizes!

Calling all Friends of Fox! We are giving the Hanover greens a little TLC ahead of the winter and future construction - join us this Sunday, Nov 5 from 9a-12p in collaboration with RPS facilities team.
Work to be done: 1) For Fox Farm (kids’ garden in the rear of school): volunteers are needed to w**d paths, smother w**ds in raised beds with cardboard/leaves and chop down the larger w**ds on the perimeter. Letters and gutters have fallen off of shed and will need to be rehung. This is easier and less laborious than it sounds.
Materials needed:
•Tools like clippers, rake, w**d whacker, edgers, hammer + nails, etc
•Used cardboard boxes broken down to cover beds
•Leaves for beds
•A few lawn bags and trash bags
If anyone has experience with the irrigation system, shed locks, or other garden facets, please come out and help! We’ll be putting the garden to sleep for the Fall and hopefully visit again in the Spring! 2) For the front of the school, we'll be pulling w**ds, getting leaves up, taking care of the children's garden where the fish lives and overall trying to bring the space back to life. There will be a dumpster for clean up. 📷 Oil painting by Linda Hollett-Bazouzi, a Fox grad!

Fraser firs are almost sold out! Along with large sizes in the balsam firs. Don’t miss out on this annual tradition and rest easy knowing you have a tree for the holidays. Additionally, after picking out your tree, plan to stay for free hot chocolate and a holiday craft on December 1.

Big thanks to Helobung - the traditional Tboli music and dance ensemble from Lake Sebu, Philippines - for sharing their talent and cultural heritage with our Fox students. Helobung also performed at Richmond’s amazing Folk Festival this weekend. Did you go, who did you see!?

👋 Spread the word! Bring your empty 2 Liter bottles to Fox at Clark Springs to help our Garden Club with a fun project! Remove the labels and drop them at the “Fox Box” (the building next to the playground, with the murals & covered picnic tables). Thank you!

It was a beautiful fall morning for Bike to School Day! Thanks to PE Teacher, Mr B for leading our crew! 🚴🏽‍♀️🚴🏼🚴🏿‍♂️

⭐️ TODAY! Oct. 3 ⭐️ Let Mellow Mushroom take care of lunch or dinner. Dine in or carry out and drop the receipt in the bowl when you’re leaving. Share with any pizza lovers you may know. They’ll give back a % to Fox.

Believe it or not, it’s that time again! Time for our annual tree sale. Each year our beautiful trees sell out- do not be left empty handed.

Why are we selling trees in October? Our growers need numbers in early November. Come support this beloved tradition and rest easy knowing you’ve secured your tree. Go to bit.ly/foxtrees to purchase.

Make a lunch or dinner plan with some friends for Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Mellow Mushroom in Carytown. A portion of sales will support Fox. Just drop your receipt in the bowl at the hostess stand, any time between 11am and 10pm.

We can’t let what should have been our last day of the 2023 school year pass without sending a huge shoutout to the entire Fox Family for another wonderful year. Although we are faced with many challenges and it certainly didn’t end the way we wanted it to, we are so grateful for all the ways in which this year allowed our community to shine. This year we saw the return of choir and theatrix, the inspired efforts of the garden club, the wonderful performance by our step dance team at Strawberry Street, the camaraderie on the field and the sidelines at Fox Soccer, and so many other wonderful opportunities to come together and enjoy one another and the successes of our students.

Thank you to our teachers, support staff, and administrators. Thank you to our caregivers and our incredible students. Thank you to the alumni and the larger community that supports us. The gratitude for our community and all the people that make Fox what it is goes on and on.

Love, kindness, and respect for one another are more important now than ever. Thank you for being a part of this community and working towards our daily affirmation that FOX IS LOVE.

Happy Summer!!!!

We are still thinking about how amazing SSF was yesterday and have to give a HUGE shoutout to our Food Commitee!
