The Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning is now accepting session proposals for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026!

Whether it's a Teaching & Learning Innovation Series (TLI), Professional Learning Community (PLC), 30-Minute Tech Tool (30MTT), or another professional development format we want to hear your ideas.

All proposals are welcome, but sessions focused on AI integration & management, fundamentals of student success, and mental health & student support are especially encouraged.

We concluded the 24-25 New Faculty Seminar this afternoon with an engaging panel on the importance of faculty leadership, leading as faculty, and leading in place as faculty. Thank you to our impressive panelists - Dr. Abbey P., Dr. Jim Blair, Dr. Lisa Kay, Dr. Jason W. Marion, & Dr. Nedim Slijepcevic, Ed.D. - and the amazing Brandi Anderson & Chris Butcher for the design work that goes into supporting & advancing our academic mission at Eastern Kentucky University. Thanks to Dr. Jason Fry for inviting faculty to share their work at the upcoming Faculty Research Showcase!

We held our final New Faculty Seminar of the fall semester, focused on establishing collaborations with Eastern Kentucky University Libraries - EKU. Thank you to the outstanding panelists, and we look forward to seeing everyone in the spring.

It was a pleasure to recognize Eastern Kentucky University faculty this evening through the annual Thank a Professor program. Thank you to the Steering Committee, Brandi Anderson, Laurel Schwartz, Krista Kimmel, & John Strada, for their work and planning to recognize faculty this year! It was fantastic to connect with so many of our faculty and to say "thank you" for all they do to support and educate students.

The Faculty Scholars Community met this afternoon to discuss resources for pursuing external funding opportunities with Dr. Tiffany Hamblin. Faculty shared good questions and innovative ideas for future scholarly projects.

Thank you to our outstanding faculty panelists for sharing their approaches for transitioning to Canvas. The faculty panelists offered tips and strategies that have worked well for them as they plan, design, and redesign courses using the new LMS.

Our November New Faculty Seminar featured a panel of Eastern Kentucky University’s recent award-winning faculty, focused on how they design impactful and innovative teaching experiences for our students. Thank you to these outstanding faculty for sharing their knowledge with our first-year faculty!
