Each year, Employee Convocation brings us together as One Eastern to kick off a new academic year. It’s always a special opportunity to fellowship with members of the , welcome new colleagues to our team, celebrate our people and our shared successes, and look ahead to all that we will accomplish together.

This year, we were especially honored to welcome Dr. Sanford Jones, a veteran, member of the EKU Class of 1950 and former EKU faculty member, as our special guest speaker. His remarkable connection to Eastern and the perspective he shared served as a powerful reminder of the generations who have shaped our university and the enduring legacy we continue to build upon today.

I’m grateful for the dedication and passion our faculty and staff bring to every day. There is tremendous momentum across our campus, and I’m excited for us to carry that energy forward as we begin another exceptional academic year!
