What a season for Madison Central Fast Pitch Softball!

The Lady Indians finished 27-9 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the KHSAA State Tournament. Their season ended in a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in 8 innings to undefeated South Warren, the #1 team in Kentucky and #6 nationally. The Lady Indians gave South Warren its toughest game of the season and showed incredible heart and determination on the state’s biggest stage.

We are so proud of our players for their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the year. A special thank you to our seniors—you will be greatly missed. You represented Central well!

Congratulations to Coach Randy Hall, the coaching staff, and the entire team on an outstanding season. We couldn’t be more proud!

The Madison Central History Makers spent time last month volunteering at Old Soldiers Cemetery out on Four Mile Ave. They reset 7 headstones that had fallen over (including 3 buried stones that they rediscovered!) and cleaned a few dozen headstones.

Old Soldiers was begun in 1867 when Richmond Cemetery began segregating burials and is the oldest African American cemetery in Richmond.

Today it is maintained primarily through volunteer work. Thank you to all who donated their time to make Madison County a better place!

Congratulations to our Softball team - Region 11 Champions!!!! The is the first Regional championship in 24 years! The team advances to the State tournament Thursday at the UK Softball complex.
