Countless systems have to operate in harmony to pull it off, and they will have to continue doing so. Working in local government is the act of creating safe, liveable spaces for people to call home. Talk Description: The Importance of Radical Acceptance People often take for granted their mental health. How can you go out into the world and be your best self if you do not first work on yourself? There are many skills that one can gain by going on a mental health improvement journey. One of these skills can be radical acceptance. Kiyomi tells a very personal story about her mental health journey and the discovery of radical acceptance. She hopes that through sharing this story she can show others the importance of mental health skills like radical acceptance to cope with the inevitable vagaries of life.

In celebration of last year’s success, we would like to take this week to remember our speakers who discussed their take on the theme ‘For the Greater Good’. We will remember to work ‘for the greater good’ as we prepare TEDxEarlhamCollege’s next event!
