From novel study to neighborhood bakery — our 4th & 5th grade Pathfinders brought learning to life through a hands-on bake sale project! 📚🧁

Students worked through every step of the process:
✨ Conducting market research
✨ Creating marketing plans
✨ Measuring and calculating ingredients
✨ Budgeting and shopping at Kroger
✨ Baking, packaging, and selling products
✨ Analyzing profit, loss, and overall success

This project combined literacy, math, business, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in a meaningful real-world experience. Hands-on learning gives students the opportunity to actively engage in the learning process, make connections across subjects, build confidence, and develop skills they’ll carry far beyond the classroom.

We are so proud of the hard work, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit shown by these incredible students!

Cracking into STEAM 🐣💡

Our 2nd–5th graders took on an egg-citing challenge, designing structures to protect an egg from breaking! From brainstorming to building to testing, students put their engineering skills to work.

Some eggs survived, some… not so much but every student learned about problem-solving, perseverance, and creative thinking along the way.

Perfect timing as we get ready to welcome our chicks next week!Learning that’s active, meaningful, and a little bit messy—that’s how we do it at RPS 💛💙❤️

What a treat to have , a nationally recognized leader of healing-centered engagement, trauma-informed practice, and community resilience, join us for a class lesson and book reading! Her books blend storytelling, psychology, lineage, and lived experience.

Our students loved hearing from her, working in their mindfulness workbooks she shared and hearing the process of writing a book! 📕

We’re just 2 weeks away from Richmond Primary’s 2nd Annual Giving Day on May 6–7, and we couldn’t be more excited!

For 24 hours — from noon to noon — our community will come together to support the growth of our school through the RPS Fund. This year, your generosity will directly impact our new building, as well as exciting updates to our outdoor spaces and playground — creating even more opportunities for our students to learn, play, and thrive.
