One of our own EJA scholars, Kelly Douglas, was featured in a segment on the local news last week! He joined Ms. Keisha Wallace, the Summer STEM Camp director, to talk about the wonderful impact the camp has had on his life and educational journey! Our students SHINED at this year's Black History Program!! We honored the achievements of African-Americans in the field of Aviation. Students in 5th-8th researched pilots, and created model airplanes from scratch! K-4th shared what they learned about Bessie Coleman, the first African-American Woman Pilot. Our keynote speaker was Captain Howard Baugh, the son of Tuskegee Airmen, Lt. Col Howard Baugh, who reminded us that "excellence is the greatest defense against racism and bigotry". Our 5th-8th grade boys wrapped up the evening with an incredible musical performance. It was a night to remember thanks to our parents, students, hard-working volunteers and staff!

Thank you Dwayne Shorter for teaching our kids the fundamental of pizza making. The kids made their own pizzas and were BEYOND Excited to eat it all by themselves!🤣🤣🤣 Marvelous Shorter

Baugh, an accomplished pilot, and the son of Tuskegee Airmen, David Baugh! You will be treated to dinner, live entertainment, and very special presentations!

All funds raised from this event will be dedicated to creating a new state-of-the-art STEM lab for our school. Let's come together to support education and innovation! It was another busy week for our students! K-4th led out in chapel, continued their study of landforms by going on a virtual field trip to a volcano, and wrapped up the week with a fun show and tell! 5th-8th began the prep work for building their model airplanes. We can't wait to see these projects on display at the upcoming Black History Program on February 24th!

Happy 100th Day of School!!! 🤗🥳🤩

What an exciting week of Innovation we had!! Dr. Nugent, our Innovation Teacher from the Florida Conference Institute for Leadership and Innovation, led the students through the history of the Civil Rights Movement, specifically the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. All students in K-8th coded their Ozobots (mini robots) to “travel” through the important events of the movement and discussed what it meant for us today! For some of the younger students, this was their first time coding on the computer, and they all did a great job!!

We are so proud of our students!! They did a wonderful job sharing the hope of Christmas with all who attended. Thank you to our staff, parents, and volunteers for making this program possible!

You will be SURPRISED this year.😁 All are invited to come this Saturday to Ephesus Junior Academy, Richmond Christmas program 430p! You don't want to miss this event!

We will be joining with Ephesus Children's Ministries once again for another exciting Children's Day! Kids Konnect will be leading out in the 11:00 AM service, and we will be presenting our Christmas Musical, The Christmas Hope, at 4:30 in the afternoon.
