One of the highlights of our year pertaining to student life is the Student Livestock Show held every Fall. Students work with their chosen dairy heifers, pigs, and sheep to learn how to work together as an unstoppable duo in the show ring.

More often than not these duos form a bond that stays with each of them. If they're lucky enough, the student even gets to meet the offspring of their show animal. This afternoon Madison Cooper met her show heifer's little calf! Needless to say, it was a special time for them.

Anyone who knows our Farm Manager Matt Collins knows that he is a tad reserved with emotional display. Even tempered, level headed, at times almost stoic could all be adjectives to describe Matt. That is... until he spots a lush field of Sudan Grass he gets to mow. Now THAT will get some smiles in the mix. To be fair, that is some nice looking Sudan.
