Free six-week sports program for local K–8 students

Calling all kids in grades K–8! Join us for a free sports season filled with fun, energy, and new friends. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills, compete in exciting games, and connect with University of Richmond students and athletes.

Congratulations to Alexis Evans from George Washington Carver Elementary School for winning Geoff McDonald & Associate (GMA)'s Back-To-School Giveaway and becoming GMA's 4th Teacher of the Year!

As she starts her 11th year in education, Ms. Evans continues to love helping her students discover their potential. Ms. Evans's goal as an educator is to create a classroom where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success through a love for learning, building confidence, and equipping her students with the academic and life skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Ms. Evans believes that every student can succeed when they are supported, encouraged, and challenged to be their best.

Charles Younger is affectionally called Mr. C by his scholars. He is a first grade teacher. Mr. C says: "I’m a sneaker head (which really is a problem)".

Mr. Younger is most excited for growth, both in himself and his students this academic school year !

Hello!! I'm Ms. Carter and I am so excited to be joining the Peanut family in 2nd grade this year. A fun fact about me is that I took band class through Middle and High School. I am just so excited to meet all of you and get to know my students. I can't wait for a great year!! Peanut POWER!!
