After much anticipation, we are thrilled to announce BJC’s acquisition of the Center for Faith, Justice, and Reconciliation and the establishment of the BJC Center for Faith, Justice and Reconciliation! The Center has a proven track record of promoting dialogue and understanding among diverse communities, and together, we will continue to fight for the protection of religious liberty and advocate for policies that promote justice and equality. This acquisition represents a significant step forward for our organization, as we expand our commitment to advancing religious freedom and social justice for all.

Dr. Sabrina E. Dent is joining our team to continue the great work she has already accomplished at the Center. As the Director of BJC Center for Faith, Justice and Reconciliation, she is bringing the knowledge and expertise that is needed to push this work forward, and we are confident that we can accomplish more together.

Religion News Service broke the news earlier today and you can read their coverage of the acquisition here: https://religionnews.com/2023/03/06/baptist-joint-committee-gains-faith-and-justice-center-grows-religious-liberty-work/

Visit our new website page for the Center to see upcoming events, opportunities to connect with us, and vital resources to share with your church or community: https://bjconline.org/center/

Stay tuned for more updates as we begin this exciting new chapter!

In doing the work of justice, let's not forget those individuals who are simply trying to get home safely without physical, mental, emotional or spiritual harm being done to them. We are holding Tyre Nichols' family and loved ones in our thoughts along with so many who suffer loss due to police brutality and abuse of power.🕯️🕊️💔

On this , may we continue to recommit our lives to advancing justice in ways that reaffirm the human dignity of every person. Today, we send love to our Jewish siblings who are holding the memories of their loved ones today. 💙✡️🕊
