Sometimes courage sounds like, “I need help.”

At Family to Family Adoptions, we believe every person deserves to be heard, every child deserves to feel safe, and all families deserve compassionate support.

If you are pregnant and feeling overwhelmed, you do not have to have everything figured out before contacting us. Our caring staff will listen without judgment or pressure, help you explore all your options, and connect you with available resources. Reaching out does not obligate you to choose adoption. Our support is confidential and provided at no cost to expectant parents.

We are also looking for loving foster families willing to open their hearts and homes to children who need safety, stability, and connection. Families come in many forms, and you do not have to be perfect to make a life-changing difference.

Our work is only possible with the support of our community. Donations help us provide:

💛 Safe housing and transportation for expectant parents
💛 Pregnancy, maternity, and infant necessities
💛 Counseling and post-placement support
💛 Training and resources for foster and adoptive families
💛 Essential items and special experiences for children in foster care

There are three meaningful ways you can help today:

• If you are pregnant and need support, call or text us.
• If you have considered becoming a foster or adoptive parent, let’s talk.
• If you want to help families in need, please donate or share this post.

📞 Call: 281-342-4042
📱 Text: 832-622-8198

One phone call, one open home, one donation, or one shared post can become the beginning of hope for children and families.

🎉 Please Join Us in Welcoming Jonathan Odems, LCSW, Our New Treatment Director! 🎉

We are excited to officially welcome Jonathan Odems, LCSW, to the Family to Family Adoptions family! Jonathan’s first official day was August 16, and he has already begun meeting with foster families, reviewing our children’s service plans, and accompanying our case management team on home visits.

Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston, following studies at Prairie View A&M University and Lone Star College. He began his career as a group therapist and later expanded his experience providing individual therapy at The Harris Center.

Jonathan also brings a deeply personal understanding of the foster care system. He spent part of his childhood in foster care before being adopted by his father, an experienced therapist. In a meaningful full-circle moment, Jonathan has also provided individual therapy at the residential treatment center he attended as a teenager. His combination of professional expertise and lived experience gives him a unique ability to understand, support, and advocate for children and families involved in foster care.

We hired Jonathan to provide additional clinical support and guidance to our foster children and families as we prepare for Active Interim Credentialing under Texas Child-Centered Care or T3C.

Yesterday, we moved another important step closer to that goal! Youth For Tomorrow completed its review of our application and approved our service packages. We are now awaiting final approval from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. This credentialing will allow us to provide even greater therapeutic support, resources, and services to the children and families we serve.

Jonathan has graciously joined a team currently filled with many strong women and we are happy to report that he is holding his own wonderfully! 😊 More importantly, our entire team is grateful for the compassion, knowledge, dedication, and perspective he brings to our agency.

If you are a Family to Family foster parent who feels your child or family could benefit from Jonathan’s support and guidance, please contact our office. If you have not met him yet, you will soon, as he has already begun attending home visits alongside our case management team.

Please join us in giving Jonathan a warm welcome to the Family to Family family! We are excited about all he will bring to our staff, our foster families, and most importantly the children entrusted to our care. 💙

❤️ Tonight, we’re asking our community to stand with Family to Family.

Every day, Family to Family works with children and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

There are babies who need safe and loving homes. There are children entering foster care who need stability. There are expectant parents who need someone to answer the phone, listen without judgment, and help them understand their options. And there are families opening their homes and hearts to children who need them.

This work doesn’t happen without support.

Tonight, would you consider becoming part of our Family to Family community with a gift of $25, $50, $100 or whatever amount is meaningful to you?

Even better, consider making it a monthly gift. A recurring donation gives our small nonprofit dependable support so we can continue saying YES when a child or family needs us.

Your gift helps us continue the work of protecting children, strengthening families, supporting expectant parents, and helping children find safe, permanent, loving homes.

❤️ Every gift matters. Every child matters. Every family matters.

Donate or learn more at www.fam2fam.org

If you aren’t able to give tonight, you can still help tremendously by sharing this post with your friends, family, church, or business.

Thank you for believing that children and families are worth investing in.

💙 29 Little Lives. 29 Reasons Foster Families Matter. 💙

Right now, Family to Family Adoptions is serving 29 children in foster care.

Twenty-nine precious little ones who need safety, stability, nurturing, and someone to be there for them during an uncertain time in their lives.

Behind every number is a baby with a story. And behind every baby in foster care is a need for families willing to open their hearts and homes while parents work toward creating a safe and stable future for their children.

The need for foster families is real and it is happening right here in our community.

If you have ever wondered whether you could foster, we would love to talk with you. You don't have to have all the answers. You just need a willingness to learn, a heart to serve, and the ability to provide a safe and loving home. ❤️

Every Child Deserves Someone in Their Corner💙
At Family to Family Adoptions, we believe that families can change lives.
Every day, children in foster care need safe, nurturing homes where they can feel supported, valued, and cared for while their families work toward reunification. Foster parents play an incredible role in that journey not by replacing a child’s family, but by becoming part of the team surrounding that child with stability and love.
You don’t have to be perfect to make a difference. You just need a willingness to learn, a heart ready to serve, and room in your life for a child who needs someone to show up for them. 🏡❤️
Maybe you’ve thought about fostering but haven’t taken that first step. Today could be the day.
Reach out to Family to Family Adoptions to learn more about becoming a foster parent and how you can make a lasting difference in the life of a child and their family.
Families helping families that’s what Family to Family is all about. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Our Amazing Foster Parents! 🎉

Family to Family Adoptions is incredibly proud of the foster parents who completed TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®) training yesterday! 💙

Opening your home to a child is an incredible commitment. Choosing to continue learning and growing so you can better understand and meet the needs of children who have experienced trauma takes that commitment even further.

TBRI equips caregivers with practical, trauma-informed tools to help children feel safe, connected, valued, and supported. Every hour spent learning these skills is an investment in the children entrusted to your care.

To our foster parents: THANK YOU! Thank you for showing up, putting in the work, and continuing to grow for the children and families you serve. We see your dedication, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Family to Family family. ❤️

Please join us in congratulating our newly TBRI-trained foster parents! 👏🎓

🎉 Today we celebrated our August birthdays which just happen to include our entire foster care team!

Please join us in wishing Kirby Matthews Butler (as my granddaughter affectionately calls her) , Jasmine Bryant, and Rosie Lopez a very Happy Birthday! 🥳 Help us show them some birthday love and thank them for all the hard work, care, and dedication they give to our children and families every day. 💙

We enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch and treasured the time together!

We were missing our Director of Adoptions, Jenifer McLaughlin, who was busy getting her one-and-only superstar son, Boone, settled at Millsaps College in Mississippi. Please send Jenifer a little extra love and encouragement for her mama heart as she begins this new chapter! 💕

Happy Birthday, Kirby, Jasmine, and Rosie! We appreciate you more than you know! 🎂🎈🎁
