FCCLA and Family and Consumer Science students visited Madison Kindergarten Academy today! Students led learning centers and helped the students make their own cake pops to take home and share with family and friends!

Last week FCS Essentials finished up their culinary unit!

Mrs. Lilly and Ms. Claunch’s FCS essential classes have entered their culinary portion of the class and this week they were busy learning all about small kitchen appliances! They got to choose between dole whip, frozen hot chocolate, and strawberry milkshakes and learn how to operate a blender!

A few of Mrs. Claunch’s culinary students had the pleasure of serving Mr. Adams class breakfast!

FFA advisors, Mr. Adams and Mrs. Cooper traveled to Indianapolis for National Convention with FFA members! There were over 53,0000 memebers present from across the country and the organization currently has over 735,000 members!

A great morning for these Madison Central, FCS Education Pathway, students at Daniel Boone! Orientation is complete and they go back tomorrow for their first day! Big thanks to Ms. VanDyke and Mrs. Riley for the warm welcome!

Mrs. Lilly’s Child Development Services I & Mid to Late Lifespan class!

Culinary has spent the last week learning about HACCP and learning about how it applies to so many things that we consume. They conducted a hazard analysis and determined the critical control points of taco soup!

Ms. Claunch’s Foods and Nutrition class finished up kitchen math and measuring this week. Students used their knowledge of how to properly measure certain ingredients. Rocky Road Cookies! 🍪

Mrs. Lilly’s Mid-Late Lifespan Development students are also learning about teaching as we navigate the various stages of life. This week students prepared money skills lessons and taught to their peers!
