Bilinguatherapy está buscando una persona bilingüe (inglés/español) para unirse a nuestro equipo como Front Desk Assistant / Asistente de Recepción en nuestra clínica pediátrica en Richmond, VA.

Buscamos a alguien amable, responsable, organizado/a y con excelentes habilidades de comunicación. Esta persona ayudará a recibir a nuestras familias, contestar llamadas y mensajes, programar citas y apoyar con las tareas administrativas diarias de la clínica.

Responsabilidades incluyen:
Recibir y ayudar a pacientes y familias
Contestar llamadas y mensajes
Programar y confirmar citas
Comunicarse con familias en inglés y español
Ayudar con documentos, formularios y tareas administrativas
Mantener organizada el área de recepción
Trabajar en equipo con nuestro personal administrativo y clínico

Requisitos:
Hablar inglés y español con fluidez
Buena comunicación y servicio al cliente
Ser organizado/a, puntual y confiable
Sentirse cómodo/a usando computadoras y aprendiendo nuevos sistemas

Experiencia en recepción, servicio al cliente o consultorio médico es preferida, pero no necesariamente requerida

💰 Pago: desde $16/hora, dependiendo de experiencia

📍 Richmond, Virginia

🏃‍♀️ Did You Know? Physical therapy isn't just for injuries.

Pediatric physical therapists help children build the skills they need to move confidently and participate in everyday activities.

A PT can help children who:

✅ Walk on their toes
✅ Frequently fall or appear clumsy
✅ Have difficulty keeping up with peers
✅ Struggle with stairs, jumping, or balance
✅ Tire easily during physical activity
✅ Have delayed motor milestones

📌 Consider a PT evaluation if your child:
• Isn't sitting independently by 9 months
• Isn't walking by 18 months
• Walks on their toes most of the time
• Avoids playground activities
• Seems less coordinated than other children their age

💙 Early support can make a big difference in your child's ability to move, play, and participate in everyday life.
Every child develops at their own pace, but if something doesn't feel quite right, it's okay to ask questions.

Bilinguatherapy is excited to announce the addition of Dr. T'Airra Belcher, LPC, to our team as we expand our services to include Mental Health Counseling.

Dr. Belcher is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, EMDR-trained clinician, and Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. She brings years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and individuals through life's challenges with a culturally responsive and compassionate approach.

Mental health affects every part of a child's development—from communication and learning to behavior, relationships, and overall well-being. That's why we're proud to now offer counseling services alongside our Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy programs.

Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, trauma, self-esteem challenges, or major life transitions, we're here to help.

This month, we're proud to celebrate our Lead Speech-Language Pathologist, Elly, on her 5-year anniversary with Bilinguatherapy.

As the first clinician to join our team, Elly has played an important role in our growth and success over the past five years. From our early days as a small speech therapy practice to the multidisciplinary clinic we are today, she has remained committed to providing exceptional care to the children and families we serve.

Known for her clinical expertise, dedication, and compassionate approach, Elly has impacted the lives of countless families throughout our community. She has also served as a mentor and leader within our organization, helping support both our patients and our growing team.

This presentation was an invitation to explore the richness of language, culture, identity, and representation within our profession. Through each “stop,” we reflected on the many voices, dialects, and lived experiences that shape communication and connection.

Spaces like this remind us that our field grows stronger when we honor diversity, expand perspectives, and create pathways for future clinicians to thrive authentically.
