Congratulations to Dr. Deividas Gustainis, PGY4 radiology resident, and his wife Adrianna! 🎉 On September 22nd the couple shared vows in Vilnius, Lithuania in front of their closest friends and family. The ceremony took place at the historic Vilnius Cathedral, constructed in 1251, while the nearby Church of St. Anne’s made a perfect backdrop for photos.
Cheers to a long and joyous marriage! 🥂

Spreading the word about cancer screenings! 💝 Today our residents are tabling in Main Hospital for Communities Crushing Cancer, a national event led by the Radiology Health Equity Coalition to raise awareness for cancer screenings. By providing educational materials and resources, the initiative aims to ensure that underserved and minority communities have access to vital screening information. It also empowers our residents to take an active role in our community by getting out of the reading room and engaging in direct outreach 🤝

“If it has a heartbeat, the Milers can treat it!” 🩺 ❤️ On August 30th, two incredible doctors joined hands in marriage - Sloan Miler, MD who is currently a PGY4 in our Diagnostic Radiology residency program, and Caroline Warren, DVM who works as an emergency veterinarian in the RVA area.

Drop a comment to help us celebrate these two newlyweds and the bright future ahead of them 🎉

Yesterday, the VCU School of Medicine awarded Dr. Daniel J. Komorowski, Program Director for the Interventional Radiology residency program, an Outstanding Teacher Award in Undergraduate Medical Education.

This award acknowledges his tireless commitment to education - not just for residents within the program, but for any and all medical students who express an interest in learning during their clerkship.

We’re grateful to have Dr. Komorowski as a leader on our team! 👏
