On June 10, 2025, the Military Initiatives Committee had the distinct honor of attending and participating in the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Women’s Veterans Tea, a special event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the service, sacrifice, and achievements of women veterans.
More than 130 veterans, both men and women, gathered for this meaningful occasion, which provided an opportunity for fellowship, reflection, and appreciation of those who have served our nation. Attendees were inspired by the powerful personal journey shared by a distinguished female veteran, whose story highlighted the resilience, courage, and dedication demonstrated by women throughout military service.
In addition to the keynote presentation, participants had the opportunity to explore a comprehensive Veterans Resource Fair, where numerous organizations provided valuable information, services, and support programs designed to enhance the well-being of veterans and their families. The event also fostered networking and community engagement among veterans, advocates, and service organizations.
The afternoon concluded with a luncheon that allowed attendees to continue building connections while honoring the contributions of women veterans. The Military Initiatives Committee was proud to be part of such an impactful event and remains committed to supporting and recognizing those who have selflessly served our country.

Today, families worldwide have an empty seat at their dinner table because a family member made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our country’s freedom.
Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Today, we pause to reflect on their selflessness and the profound impact they've had on our nation, and their families who bear the burden of their absence 🕊️
