A week with Mrs Briโ€™s K2 class:

K2Bโ€™s First Chapel
Our very first chapel together! We loved getting to worship, learn about God, and experience this special time together as a class.

D is for Dinosaur!
We had so much fun learning about the letter D! Our friends used dinosaur footprints and paint to make tracks all over our D. Stomp, stomp, stomp!

Shaving Cream Fun!
A little messy, a LOT of fun, and even great for cleaning! Our friends loved getting their hands in the shaving cream while learning through sensory play.

Learning About Noahโ€™s Ark!
We learned all about Noah, the ark, and the animals God sent to the ark! Our friends loved getting to choose the animals and place them on the ark as we learned together.

๐Ÿ˜ E is for Ellie Elephant! ๐Ÿฉถ

Our K2 little ones have had a BLAST learning about the letter E and the color GRAY this week!

Weโ€™ve been learning that God made elephants! ๐Ÿ˜ We learned that elephants love to run, play in the mud, and STOMP! When they get hot, they flap those great big floppy ears to help cool themselves down. And, of course, we talked about that amazing trunk they use to drink, eat, smell, and explore!

Our favorite part may have been becoming little elephants ourselves. Weโ€™ve had SO much fun wearing our big floppy gray ears, stomping around, and bringing our learning to life!

Thereโ€™s something special about learning at this age when they can see it, hear it, touch it, and DO it! ๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday to the one and only, Mrs. Kim! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’—

Today was all about celebrating someone who means so much to our school family! We all wore PINK in honor of Mrs. Kim and filled the school with birthday cards and sweet decorations to remind her just how loved and appreciated she is. ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŒธ

Mrs. Kim, thank you for the heart you pour into our school every single day. Your leadership goes far beyond a titleโ€”you lead with love, wisdom, grace, and a genuine desire to see our students, families, and staff grow and thrive. So much of what makes our school special is because of the time, care, and heart you give so freely.

We hope today reminded you of what you mean to all of us. You are loved, appreciated, and truly a blessing to our school family! ๐Ÿ’—

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Kim! We love you and are so thankful for you! ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’—

"The results are in! ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

For the past four short Gifted class periods, these students have been planning, building, testing ideas, making adjustments, and working hard on their popsicle stick engineering challenge. Today, we FINALLY got to put their structures to the test!

Our goal was to build a structure using only popsicle sticks that could hold 20 pounds. We started testing at 15 pounds and slowly worked our way up to 25 pounds. Some of these structures went above and beyond thatโ€ฆ and even held a whole person!

This project was about so much more than just building with popsicle sticks. Students had to think about structural support, weight distribution, stability, and how small changes could make their designs stronger. They also learned that when something doesnโ€™t work the first time, you adjust, problem-solve, and try again.

These students completely exceeded my expectations with this project, and We are SO proud of them! Watching their excitement as we added more and more weight was definitely the best part.

I think we may have some future engineers on our hands! ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ‘ "

Today, on Grandparents Day, we wanted to take a moment to recognize all our Grandparents and Special Friends. Thereโ€™s just something so special about seeing our school filled with you. ๐Ÿ’• Our halls were a little sweeter, our classrooms a little fuller, and our studentsโ€™ smiles a little bigger!

Grandparents Day is such a beautiful reminder of the love, wisdom, prayers, and encouragement that grandparents pour into the lives of their grandchildren.
Our students are blessed beyond measure to have grandparents who love them, pray for them, cheer them on, and help point them toward Jesus. What a gift it is to celebrate the special role you play in their lives!

Thank you for being part of our school family and for making memories with us that our students will treasure for years to come. We love celebrating you!

Happy Grandparents Day! ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™

Today, on 9/11, our school family gathered for Prayer Around the Pole as we paused to remember and reflect on the events that changed us as a country that day. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Our prayer time was led by Mrs. Nigg, Mrs. Kim Baker, and students from both our Elementary and Middle School. We took time to reflect and pray for the lives lost that day, and honor the brave men and women who continue to serve and protect our country. Thank you to all our families who took time off to join us.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the importance of coming together in prayer and unity. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
