Last week we got to go on an end of summer trail ride before it’s back to school this week.

One of the hardest exercises on horseback seem to be circles. While circles teach the horse balance and flexion, the rider has to properly communicate directions using their aides.

It’s time to introduce Maui. This gorgeous gelding is a 5 year old OTTB (off the track thoroughbred). Maui was not feeling the racehorse life and was retired sound after just 11 starts as a four year old. He is now gaining some weight and needs some work on his feet before joining our lesson fleet. I am already in love with this guy. He has the sweetest disposition and is probably the most mellow five year old I have ever met. This horse truly has an old man’s soul.

We have kittens. They are about 12 weeks old, maybe a little older and ready to find new homes. These two have been taken inside to get them used to people and they are loving the pampered life. Contact us if you would like to open up your home for one or more of these adorable fur balls.

It’s hot outside. Hope everyone is staying cool. The horses enjoyed to dip their toes (and noses 🤩) in the water to cool down a bit.
