Looking for one-way ride (me and my bike) from the TriCities WA to Seattle on Friday July 14. Will help pay for fuel. We'll be cycling from Seattle to Portland (STP) on Saturday the 15th so no return ride needed.

What's the difference between "riding" a bike and "driving" a bike? If you ride outside and don't know the answer you should! Hint: It has nothing to do with roads.
Ask me about changing you life through outdoor cycling. Individuals, small group training, ride-along fitness coaching and instruction for beginners (or been a long time?) intermediate, and advanced (e.g. triathletes and endurance riders).

Family DIY Bike Bag Poject
One of the DIY projects I often share with folks, who have "extra time" with their kids, is how to make their own bike bags for carrying things.
You'll need:
1. A small sturdy synthetic bag. Small obsolete camera bags are great as they already have some type of padding and are water resistant, and one might already be hiding out in your closet.
2. Velcro strapping
3. Heavy thread (preferably synthetic).
4. A sturdy needle. Upholster needles are the best for bags with strong fabric (hint: needle nose pliers work well when hand sewing requires pushing hard- much safer also).
Sew the strapping on similarly to the way it is in the video below (of the manufactured bag). This provides three points of contact between the bag and the bike to keep it from flopping around. Don't worry about the "D" ring mentioned in the video, just make the straps long enough to wrap around the underside of the bag and attach to the surface it sticks to.
Route the straps the same way it's done in the video.
Have fun decorating and personalizing it!
I've included pics of a simple one I'm making for a friend, using a $1.50 new second hand camera bag, and one of my more ambitious badges made using a heavy duty cardboard form, leather from a second hand coat, and heavy wax coated thread for hand sewing.
