πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ THURBER NAMED TO TEAM USA!

Senior Brayson Thurber ’27 (Harvard University) has been named to the 2026 U.S. Boys’ U19 Youth National Team, earning one of just 24 roster spots.

Thurber will represent Team USA this fall at the Brogden Cup in Sparks, Maryland, competing against Lacrosse Canada and the Haudenosaunee Nationals, before traveling to Oshawa, Ontario, for the Rivalry Challenge.

Brayson becomes just the second Hermit to earn a U19 Team USA roster spot, joining Hermits legend Steve Pontrello ’12 (UNC), who helped the United States capture gold at the 2012 Men’s U-19 World Lacrosse Championship in Turku, Finland, defeating Canada in the championship game.

𝗣π—₯𝗒𝗨𝗗 𝗣π—₯π—’π—šπ—₯𝗔𝗠 πŸ‘ Kyle Helphenstine ’26 (Ocean City / Richmond Men's Lacrosse) has been honored with the St. Augustine Prep Father Vincent Altimare Scholar-Athlete Award!

A standout three-sport athlete, Kyle has excelled as a member of the Hermits lacrosse, basketball, and football programs while distinguishing himself in the classroom and throughout the Prep Community.

Kyle’s recognition marks the third consecutive year that a member of the Hermits Lacrosse program has received this prestigious honor, following Jack Gounaris ’25 and Noah Plenn ’24.

The Father Vincent Altimare Scholar-Athlete Award is presented to a student who has demonstrated excellence in athletics and academics while representing St. Augustine Prep and the Brotherhood with extraordinary distinction.
