𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦. 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬.

St. Augustine Prep continues to expand the opportunities available to our young men as they prepare for life beyond Richland.

Under the leadership of Director of College Counseling and Student Services Kyle Nichols, our Counseling Department has established new strategic partnerships with Saint Joseph's University, the University of Scranton and DeSales University —providing qualified Hermits with access to guaranteed admission opportunities and merit-based financial aid.

These partnerships represent more than additional college options. They reflect our commitment to providing students and families with greater clarity, confidence, and opportunity as they navigate the college process.

We are proud of the work of our College Counseling & Student Services Department to develop relationships that create meaningful advantages for our students—and excited to see where these new pathways lead our Hermits.

From Richland to one of golf’s grandest stages. ⛳️

As the 126th U.S. Amateur gets underway this week at historic Merion Golf Club, we’re proud to see Hermits Golf alumnus Drue Nicholas ’22 among the field competing for one of the United States Golf Association - USGA's most prestigious championships.

The names etched into the history of the U.S. Amateur tell the story of just how special this championship is — Bobby Jones. Arnold Palmer. Jack Nicklaus. Tiger Woods. Viktor Hovland. Bryson DeChambeau. Long before becoming legends of the game, each captured the Havemeyer Trophy as U.S. Amateur champion.

This week, Drue has earned his opportunity to compete on that same national stage.

A member at Merion and one of the Philadelphia region’s most accomplished young amateur golfers, Drue has continued to build an impressive résumé since his days representing the Brotherhood — capturing the 2025 BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship, winning back-to-back Philadelphia Opens, and adding the 2022 Patterson Cup to his list of accomplishments.

And this week’s opportunity is even more special: Drue gets to compete for the U.S. Amateur Championship at the very club he calls home.

Before competition kicked off, Drue gives us a look at the history and tradition of Merion, one of America’s most storied golf clubs.

From a standout Hermit to an accomplished amateur champion — and now onto the national stage.

The Brotherhood will be following along and rooting for you all week, Drue!

Sometimes the path to your future begins with an unexpected setback.

For senior Johnny Godfrey, what began as months of surgery and rehabilitation for a knee injury eventually sparked a passion for medicine—one that led him to one of the nation’s most competitive high school medical immersion programs in Manhattan.

This summer, Johnny worked alongside physicians, learned advanced medical techniques, and gained hands-on experience that confirmed his dream of becoming a doctor.

As summer begins to wind down, the excitement for a new school year is just beginning.

Last week’s Parent Partnership Program marked the first step in welcoming the Classes of 2030 and 2031 into the Hermit Brotherhood.

Led by current students Joseph Coco, Cameron Quinn, and Brandon Seitzinger, the evening gave parents a preview of life at the Prep—from balancing academics and finding your way across campus to one very important lesson… the finer points of properly caring for the school blazer. (Note: balling it up into your locker is not one of the key points!)

As the first day of school draws closer, we’ll continue updating our class resource pages with important information and reminders to help students and families prepare.

Looks like somebody’s in a pickle… ⚾

It’s one of baseball’s oldest plays and one of the most fun. If this photo doesn’t remind you of the movie The Sandlot, we don’t know what will.

Session one of Hermits Baseball Camp is in the books! The Boys of Summer had a blast learning from Coach Ney and our Hermits while making an endless amount of new memories at the Prep.

From Richland to West Point - The U.S. Military Academy. 👏

St. Augustine Prep Football alumnus Brady Small ’22 continues to make the Hermit Brotherhood proud.

After earning First Team All-American Conference honors in 2025, Brady enters his senior season as a 2026 Athlon Sports Preseason All-American Conference selection while anchoring Army West Point Football’s offensive line. He also represented the Black Knights during the American Athletic Conference Football Kickoff, where he sat down with legendary NFL coach Jon Gruden.

Army opens the season at home against Bryant on September 5, before making the trip to Philadelphia to face Temple on September 21.

And perhaps most importantly… Brady carries a 90 overall player rating in this year’s edition of EA SPORTS College Football.

Congrats, Brady!
