📢 We are 7️⃣ days away from our Jog-A-Thon event!

🥳 Our school has already raised $22,769 out of our $30,000 goal! Way to go Badger families! 3rd grade is currently in the lead! Keep sharing with families, friends, and our community! Let’s reach our goal!! Fundraiser closes October 28th.

⚠️Reminder, if you would like your child to participate in the Red Rover Obstacle Course on October 21st, a signed participation waiver is required. RISE Award Spotlight!

Today we’re celebrating Barb Cortez, Custodian at Badger Mountain Elementary, for receiving the RISE Award!

Barb was surprised with the recognition in front of the entire Facilities & Operations team during their professional development day at Richland High School, making the moment even more meaningful as her colleagues joined in celebrating her impact.

Known for her commitment to excellence, Barb consistently goes above and beyond to support staff, students, and her fellow team members. Whether helping a colleague, assisting in the custodial department, or stepping in wherever needed, she approaches every task with professionalism, care, and a positive attitude.

Barb’s dependability, positive attitude, and commitment to serving others help create a welcoming and supportive environment for the entire BME community. Through her dedication, teamwork, and daily acts of service, she exemplifies the Innovation, Service, and Excellence the RISE Award celebrates.

As an added bonus, Barb received this recognition on National Custodian Appreciation Day, providing the perfect opportunity to celebrate not only her contributions but also the incredible work of all our custodial staff who help keep our schools clean, safe, and ready for learning every day.

Congratulations, Barb, and thank you to all of our custodians for the difference you make for students and staff across Richland School District!

Even though today is a day off for students some staff are still working. PTO arranged to have cafe.del.alma24 come to the school. The truck will be at Badger from 1 to 3pm today in the parent drop off / pickup loop. So, if you’re in the area consider supporting a small business.

Open House is tonight from 5 to 6:30! Visit your child’s classroom and see what they have been up to this first month of school. There will be various food truck to pick up dinner and PTO will have a table in the gym. Come visit us and enter the raffle to win this Halloween themed basket.

Finally don’t forget to pickup a ticket from your child’s teacher for a free kiddie cup from Kona Ice provided by the PTO.

Way to go, Pam and Dana! Well deserved! We have the best front office staff! 💙

We’re starting the 2026-27 school year by celebrating two staff members who help make Badger Mountain Elementary a special place to learn, work and belong!

This week, we surprised Pam Thornton and Dana Stadelman, Office Professionals at Badger Mountain Elementary, with our first RISE Award of the school year.

As the welcoming faces of the school, Pam and Dana bring warmth, positivity and genuine care to every interaction. Whether they're greeting families, supporting students and staff, solving problems behind the scenes or simply offering a kind word, they help create the strong sense of community that defines Badger Mountain.

For both Pam and Dana, being a Bobcat is personal. Their own children attended Badger Mountain, and they continue to give back to the school community that has meant so much to their families. Their heart, humor and commitment embody the spirit of the RISE Award and the values we see across our district every day.
