Hey everybody, we have Jenny Mapes from Cross-Function Sports Massage in Mill Creek, WA will be teaching pre-event sports massage at ABE this Saturday. Two of our ABE students are out so I have room for two more people in the class.

This Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you are looking to do events, sports massage, this is the person to learn from. This will be her third time here teaching ABE students and probably your last chance to hop in on this class. No better to learn event sports massage from. Jenny has a national certification program so if you are curious about sports massage or wanting to get started in this field, now is your chance!

Discounted Body Mechanics Class! This class is being recorded and the discount is a way to say thank you for letting me use the footage on my YouTube channel, website, and for marketing purposes. This recorded session will be part of the Precision Body Mechanics project.

Cost is $50 (usually $100) and you will earn 4 in person continuing education hours.

Please bring a set of sheets, whatever l**e you use (preferably in a holster), and be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Foot wear should be something like a tennis shoe with good grip on the sole. Bare feet or socks are problematic for sticking in the floor –we need grip!

CLINICAL MASTERY OF TMJ DISORDERS – INTRAORAL CERTIFICATION COURSE

Learn effective Manual Therapy applications for the jaw including intra-oral and extra-oral techniques and better help patients with neck, jaw, face, shoulder pain and many different headaches. This course includes pathology, differential assessment, multi-disciplinary approaches, and appliances
After this sixteen hour course you may apply to the WA health Department Massage Board for Intra-Oral Massage endorsement.


You’ll learn
• Anatomy and physiology of the TMJ
• Biomechanics and assessment of the TMJ
• Intra-oral and extra-oral palpation and treatment techniques
• Indications and contra-indcations to treatment, and hygiene
• Integrating neck, head and TMJ treatments.

INSTRUCTOR:

Joseph Rodin MA, LMP, CTP., has been practicing bodywork for twenty-three years. he studied and taught intra-oral massage, cranial sacral therapy and other forms of manual therapy in Washington and California. He’s worked at the nationally recognized TMJ Orofacial Disorders Center in Seattle where he’s treated extensive jaw, head, neck and facial problems and is a certified Trager® Practitioner and Instructor.
