Yellow Dog Art Studio

Dear friends,

Gus the Yellow Dog and I have “retired,” I guess. Today we said goodbye to our well-loved art studio in Richland.

We have sold, donated, gifted all the things that won’t fit into the home we share with Dan, the more experienced retiree. Tomorrow will be the start of something new. I don’t know what that will look like, but God knows, and I will do my best to listen.

I’ve decided to keep this page open, as I imagine I will continue to teach in some form or another, so I’ll let you know where and when. I will post about goodness, truth, and beauty to encourage your creative hearts, and I *definitely* want to see YOUR art, so please feel free to share! I also want you to get the first look at my new work as soon as it comes off the easel!

So much love to all of you who have shared this journey with your physical presence or your encouraging words from afar. You are a blessing, and I treasure your generous spirit. ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been enjoying the past few weeks, all the creativity, laughter, and cups of tea. You know I will miss you!

My Dear Ones,��

I had a Big Birthday on Tax Day. Turning 70 has caused me to pause and re-prioritize my life.��

I have decided to close Yellow Dog Studio at the end of May. It's a bittersweet decision, but I have no doubt that it is the right one for me right now. ��

Between now and May 23rd, I plan to be open as much as possible. I hope to see you at a class or open studio in the coming days. You can find the schedule on this page under the Events tab. Here is a synopsis:�

-4-6 pm Monday and Tuesday for kids classes, as usual�
-4-6 pm Wednesday through Friday for open studio for adults and children
-6-8 pm Tuesday and Friday for open studio for adults
-10 am - 12 pm Saturday mornings for open studio for kids (adults, too, of course!)��

All my sample paintings for classes are $5 no matter what size or subject. Some are framed, some are not. I'd love to see them go to your good homes. Come by any time you see the lights on and pick your favorites.��

The final week of May is dedicated to clear-out. There will be no classes.���

It's been a great privilege to serve this community via Yellow Dog Studio for the past nine years. I will remember all the good times and great people for the rest of my life.
