Accountability & Transparency in Tri-Cities Education She holds a B.A. in education and a M.A. in mathematics. Education is a team effort!
Elizabeth "Liz" Vann-Clark is a former mathematics teacher with decades of experience working on non-profit boards, training educators, and advising to Washington State's Office Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). In her educational focused background, she has served on local, regional, and national level committees focusing on state assessments and curriculum development. Elizabeth's ski
lls include a deep understanding of educational law, especially where it concerns Washington State graduation requirements. She is a long-time advocate for curriculum and educational plans that respect individual student development and our diverse community; as well as parent choices regarding state assessments. Elizabeth began her educational advocacy work as a member of community groups who stood against Common Core State Standards and is still an active "opt-out" parent. Elizabeth believes in local control, communication, and community involvement in education. For the greater success of our children, our school districts, educational staff, and community must find common ground through common goals. Though our children have different educational needs, Elizabeth Vann-Clark strongly believes that our community deserves a real "student-first," experienced school board that listens and represents our entire community.
