I have 5 more in studio students and 4 more at home students left to reschedule, but I'll be able to accept 10 more students if anyone is interested or knows anyone!

My student, PM, likes improvising his own music and on his first lesson he came to me with one ready to show off! I decided that every lesson after scales we would dedicate a couple of minutes to song improvising so he can keep up with that skill.

I love my student's artwork. AK wanted to learn the Stranger Things main theme on piano and watched a video and did a fairly good job learning by himself. This is his artwork/improvised sheet music to go along with his discovery that he was very excited to show me. I of course found the rest of the stranger things theme and taught it to him and he's happy now. Lessons in this studio aren't just about learning out of a method book. When a student comes to me with an interest, I find a way to teach it to them!

LD decided to write this piece, "rainbow waltz".
She brought it to me and asked if it could be her piano assignment for the week as she wrote one hand at a time and couldn't play hands together and I said sure.
I showed her the waltz pattern and how to turn the left hand part into waltz chord patterns i wonder if she'll do that.
It's amazing to see a young child so interested in composing and to be a part of their journey and help them with it!
