🎙️ MICC graduate Wally ‘18 was interviewed on the latest episode of the Today's Autistic Moment podcast! October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Wally discussed how he manages his AuDHD needs as a pharmacy technician working in a hospital preparing medications and IVs.

Wally shared, “Having ADHD in a workplace...especially in a medical field, I feel like multitasking is definitely an advantage...And I feel like in terms of the Autism...that special interest of pharmacy is being able to hyper fixate on it and learn everything about it has gotten me exactly where I wanted to be in life.”

⛺ Senior year is off to a great start! MICC third-year College participants recently kicked off the year with their Senior Retreat. The retreat is a chance to get outdoors, explore new places, unplug from campus, and enjoy time together.

From Fawn-Doe Rosa and a scenic riverboat cruise to a stop at a local burger joint, the group packed their retreat with new experiences, plenty of laughs, and lots of time together. And of course, no retreat is complete without pudgy pies around the fire!

A weekend full of adventure, friendship, and memories to carry into senior year 🎉

On Thursday, October 8, this in-person introductory session with Emily Alwin from Hennepin County explores options for supporting individuals in decision-making, including guardianship and alternatives. Participants will learn about person-centered practices and considerations for determining which options may best meet individual needs.
