What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of our fundraiser! Our students had a blast running, laughing, and cheering each other on during our Fund Run. With beautiful weather, great friends, and delicious popsicles, it was a day full of smiles and unforgettable memories! 🥳 ☀️🏃‍♀️ 🍦💙

We are so grateful for the amazing community that makes our school such a special place. Thank you to our volunteers, families, staff, and supporters for coming together and making this fundraiser and Fund Run a success! It’s moments like these that remind us how strong our school community truly is. 💛

Thank you, JonnyPops for the incredible donation of popsicles! The day would not have been complete without a delicious treat!

Together, we run, we grow, and we make a difference! 🌟

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Our annual Run/Walk-a-Thon is Friday, October 9! 🎉 This year, we’re switching things up, the entire school will run together from 1:00–2:15 p.m.

Each classroom will have its own station/table on the playground. As students complete their laps, they’ll visit their classroom station to collect stickers and get encouragement from our amazing volunteers!

We need lots of volunteers to help make this a huge success! There are several ways to get involved, including Prize assembly, Setup crew, Cheer Station Crew, Playground Patrol, the Sheridan Hills Mascot, and Cleanup crew.

Sign up for a spot and come help us cheer on our students and make the Fund Run a fun and memorable afternoon! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B45ABAC2EA7FD0-66180028-2026 #/

Today we observe the National Day of Remembrance for victims and survivors of Indian boarding schools and residential boarding schools (Orange Shirt Day). We honor the survivors, families, and the children who never made it home. We stand with our Indigenous community members. 🧡

Sheridan Hills Elementary is so incredibly fortunate to have a partnership with Wood Lake Nature Center! Every year, all grade levels attend two field trips at Wood Lake. We get to learn about many interesting topics surrounding nature and the environment. Last week, our first graders went on their first Wood Lake trip. They learned about pollinators and insects. They even had the opportunity to catch and release some bugs and try some honey!
