The ASCEND classes offer a glimpse into what a career path could be like in aviation. The kids immersed themselves in all aspects of aviation as they learned how to operate and control aircraft along planned routes and during takeoffs and landings. Monitor engines, fuel consumption, and other aircraft systems during flight. Respond to changing conditions, such as weather events and emergencies. They worked on Learning the basic principles of building a plane by installing aircraft solid rivets, and even got to fly the planes!
