We help students discover who they are and how they fit into the world. We are a sixth, seventh and eighth grade middle school.

With a small-school feel, strong communication and genuine care from every adult, our students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Our current enrollment is about 840 students, and growing. All students have 45-minute Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies classes daily. Exploratory classes are offered to each student at every grade, and include health, physical education, Spanish, art and STE(A)M classes. Students can take up to two of these classes each semester. These opportunities broaden the student's perspective on the world of learning and expose them to new ideas and skills. Exploratory classes also serve to spark student interest in subjects that they may take as electives in high school. Students may also choose band or choir as an elective class. These classes include full-class instruction as well as small group lessons.

Wrapping up a great week of celebration!
We brought the Richfield Middle School community together to celebrate Latino Heritage Month the best way we know how: great food and good company!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved seeing our students and staff take a break to eat tacos, play games, and just connect with each other. Building these relationships outside the classroom is a big part of what makes our school community so special.

Please join us for a night of food, music, and games at our annual Latino Night at RMS tomorrow, 9/22
This event is free of charge and a great way to build community!

First week of school = Success! 🎉
We wrapped up today with Safety Day, making sure everyone is prepared by running through our fire and lockdown drills. The kids were absolute pros. Plus, we couldn't have asked for better weather with this amazing Minnesota September warmth.
Rest up and have a fantastic long Labor Day weekend! See you on Tuesday.
